Schedule
Play will take place from 7.30 pm at Downend Cricket Club on 4 Tuesdays
throughout the summer 16th May, 13th June, 11th July and 8th August
Pairing
Swiss pairing on overall scores with no regard to no. of games played
For pairing purposes only
Players who enter the competition at the 2nd evening will receive a bye in
respect of the 1st evening in proportion to their playing strength, strong
will receive 3pts, less strong players 2pts and weaker players 1pt or 0pts
This is to ensure pairings are reasonably competitive
These byes will have effect for the 2nd evening only and will not count 
towards players scores
After the 1st evening, due to the large no. of score groups, upfloats and
downfloats may be disregarded
Byes
Odd no. byes will receive 1 pt and will have the white pieces against
the rounds 1st loser (the lower graded in the case of a draw) where
both may improve their scores
Juniors who must miss the last match (2 games) of an evening will
receive a 1 pt bye
Final Scores
Players may compete on 1,2,3 or all 4 evenings and the final score
will be the total of the best 3 evening's performances
Entry Fees
£2.00 each evening    Juniors - £1.00
Prizes
After subtraction of the Grand Prix fee (£40.00) all entry fees will
be returned as cash prizes
With attendance similar to 2005 the Prize Fund will total approximately
£180.00
It is anticipated that prizes will be awarded for 1st to 5th places and
grading prizes for U150, U120 and U80 as well as a junior prize
Grand Prix
The event carries a multiple of x2 in the Bristol Grand Prix and with
a maximum possible final score of 18 pts this converts to 36 GP pts
Any player achieving this will receive a bonus of 4 GP pts
